Description
Hello, I’m Adrian. I’m a queer person born and raised in Northeast Florida looking for a new place. I’ve been renting and living with roommates for four years, and I have lived in Boston since 2024. I’m looking to stay in the area for a good long while. I’d prefer a location near a train line (any of them–they’re all convenient for me.) I have a 9 year old cat named Melody who starts out timid and then gets casual with everyone who she spends time around that’s nice to her. Other animals are fine!
I work full time (40 hours a week) and have numerous hobbies. Most of them are artistic in nature, and include drawing, writing, guitar, reading, physical crafts like painting objects that I either thrift or create myself, and occasionally gaming (not as much anymore due to my migraines, but I still indulge.) I’ve been wanting to learn to roller blade, too, so if you are into that…! I also spend a decent amount of time just lying around listening to music. It’s really the most critical hobby. I go to concerts every once in a while.
As far as what I need and value in a roommate: I need someone who is communicative and mature, and someone nonjudgmental. I vastly prefer queer roommates, but that isn’t necessarily a hard restriction. It’s just easier to be comfortable around people that way for me, as a trans person. I’m good at both keeping to myself and being a friend-roommate. I can also do a combination of both. Guests are totally fine, as long as it’s communicated that people will be home. I don’t have guests over much, besides my girlfriend. Even then, she is busy enough that it isn’t extremely often. I usually hide away in my space when people I don’t know are around.
Please reach out if you think we’d be a good fit! I’m open to most locations in and around Boston with reasonable access to transit. I don’t drive, so that part is non-negotiable. My cat is also non-negotiable. Everything else is something I am willing to discuss and compromise about.
