I currently live in DTLA but recently started a new job in Culver City. I hate the commute and I’m looking for a room to rent to cut travel time and to have a life outside of work again.

I’m a 42 year old gal working in a law office m-f, 8:30 - 6ish right on Venice Blvd. Historically, I’ve always moved close to my job to avoid getting a car (it’s the New Yorker in me), and so, here I am. I’m responsible, considerate, and like to keep my living space clean and tidy, but I’m also not a neat freak. I’m older now so parties and frequent guests are not really my jam though I do love a good day party once in a while and can be quite social when the mood calls for it.

I come with a 16 year old shihtzu dog. She is 10 lbs and mostly sleeps all day. She’s potty trained, quiet as a mouse and doesn’t shed. One of the main reasons I want to move closer to work is because I hate leaving my dog for such a long time. It would be nice to have roommates who enjoys being around dogs. She grew up with cats so her personality is a bit cat like - aloof, likes to be around people but in her own space.

I’m hoping to find a roommate close to my age, close to my job, some one with common decency and one who cares about their home environment with common interests as it would suck to live in a house who wants to stay as strangers. Once I move closer to my job, I’d have more time to get back into doing the things I enjoy the most which is martial arts, exploring with my dog, reading, and working on side projects.
