Description
I’m able to work remotely and like to get away from Cleveland as much as possible–no slight on Cleveland, I’m just an itinerant kind of person. Meeting interesting people is one of the most thrilling aspects of life on earth, and because Cleveland’s a small-big town and I’ve been here a long time, I feel like I’ve met just about everyone, which is good and bad. I’m comfortable anywhere, in any crowd, in any place on earth. I like to read, write, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Probably I’m a bit restless, both spiritually and physically, so I like to keep my mind and body nimble and strong. I raise money for a nonprofit offering a wide range of social services, and this brings me some happiness. The work is often drudgery but the cause, which I’m grateful I have a chance to play a part in and see, is inarguably a good thing and helps me sleep better at night. The organization I work for offers services across a wide spectrum, from assistance to resettle refugees, programs for persons with disabilities, food & shelter for people experiencing or on the edge of homelessness, mental health & addiction counseling, Hispanic services, early development programs and so forth. I’ve been doing this a while now but hope ultimately to finish the book I’m writing sooner than later and cut a new path. New places help to inspire me and keep me happy, which is good for work. I love my house in Cleveland–it’s peaceful and dialed in–but I also love leaving it.
