^Common Roommate Questions: If you’re down for some light reading, here are some important questions I found on roommate-search websites that you may be asking yourself about me so I’ve answered them in this handy document. If there are any others, please send them along and I can add!

^Are you employed? Yes ^Will you be able to pay rent? Yes! Paying has never been a problem It’s a priority and I’m always punctual when it comes to paying it
^How long do you plan to stay? Ideally, I’d like to sign something for a year if we think it’s a good fit. If I won’t be on the actual lease, I’d prefer to have a sublease or roommate agreement so neither of us wind up shafted. ^How do you think we should handle utilities and shared supplies or groceries? I have heard of an app called split-wise. It’s great because if I covered gas for one month and someone else bought the TP, everyone would enter what they covered and it would help us to even out what was owed among the group and make sure everyone was paying their fair share. ^Do you have a pet? No, I’m allergic to cats. ^Are you single? (see #6) Yes, but there’s still hope. Do you know anyone? (just trying to insert some humor) ^Are you neat/messy? I’m not a clean freak but I am conscientious about doing dishes in a generally timely manner and am respectful of common areas so I keep the kitchen, bathrooms and living room tidy. Looking for roommates that are about the same. More tidy, organized and livable than “super clean all the time”. I just don’t like when things get filthy. If I do have a mess, it will most likely stay in my room (i.e. dirty clothes on floor if I have a busy week, etc.) or might leave the straightener out bc it wasn’t cool enough to put away before I had to leave for work….normal human things. ^What’s your routine? I’m a morning shower-er and might have earlier mornings in my Scheduled hours. But generally, my schedule is 9-6 M-F. I do also occasionally travel for but never for more than 5 days. I like to wind down when I come home and tend to go to bed on the later side after reading or catching up on shows (10/11PM). ^Are you a light sleeper? Yes, I actually have a sleeping disorder so my sleep is a little more urgent. I don’t necessarily need complete ghost silence when sleeping. Just mindfulness of volume should be fine . :( That being said, I prefer some quiet time after 8 or 9pm to wind down and relax most nights. ^Do you want to be friends with your roommates? I’m not interested in being roommates with someone that won’t acknowledge my existence if we’re in the same room. I’ve had roommates like that in the past and it’s so uncomfortable and weird. I’m a friendly, social person but not loud, not really one to throw huge parties…dinner parties or a good ol fashioned movie tight are more my style. I’m not looking to do everything together but I do enjoy chatting and hanging out, maybe having tea or cooking together every so often. It’s nice to have someone to talk about the day with if we’re both around but still have our independence. Not clingy, not too quiet, just in the middle. ^What do you like to do on the weekends? This varies. Lately I like to cook on Sundays and meal prep for the week as I tend to work longer hours during the week. I imagine I’ll be off exploring my new city a bit but could also Netflix binge if I’m not feeling up to exploring. ^Do you smoke/Vape? No, I’m allergic. ^Are you still friends with your old roommates? Yes, good friends, but they live back in Denver,Co so we don’t get to see each other as often. ^How often do you drink at home? I do not Drink Alcohol ^Do you work from home? Not, currently. ^Do I expect a lot of out-of-town visitors? No trips have been confirmed yet but may occasionally have family or a friend to stay. I would check with everyone in advance and encourage hotels depending on how much space we have. ^Do you have a car? No ^Do you have a bike?Yes, I have 1 adult size electric bike.
