Hello my name is Matthew. I am a very quiet person who is very neat and clean and respectful. I am looking to rent a room for 6 months minimum. I have no children and no pets. I work a lot and I am seeking to rent a room within my budget. I also have work two remote jobs that are seasonal (Travel and Retail):My current roommate, was promoted within his company and had to relocate to San Diego. The two bedroom apartment we share now the lease expires the end of February.My previous roommate for 2 years decided to buy me out of all of our furniture because his company shipped all of the furniture we accumulated together for free from the east coast to the West Coast. My previous roommate was very appreciative because not only is his rent $6,500 per month but furniture is also twice the price on the West Coast. Depending upon listing, furnished or unfurnished and the condition of the furniture I am open to hearing anyone’s offer. Full disclosure, I will not pay more than $1,000. At that price the room should be a five star room from one of the Hilton properties. I stated that to state this, the only reason why I am not assuming another year’s lease here at the property where I currently live is because they went 40% increase in rent for a two bedroom two bath hovering around $2,000. No apartment is worth $2,000. I’m 50 years old, I don’t have pets I don’t have kids I’m not married. I work a lot and I am very clean. Other factors such as shared bathrooms and or parking should be taken into consideration especially when peace of mind in renting to someone who will respect your property as his own no drama no drinking no drugs and no partying. I prefer an unfurnished room because I will be bringing in all new furniture but if the room is furnished and all of the furniture including the mattress is in excellent condition I will consider that option. I have only one request. Being that I work remotely from home, if you are subletting and can get permission from the owner to have a external cable jack installed, at my cost of course, because my jobs require a hard line in order to work them thus all I would need is a coaxial cable outlet in place or installed and I will provide my own internet and Wi-Fi. I can take occupancy sooner but my roommates belongings are still here at our current apartment and the movers are not coming until the 23rd.
