Hi! My name is Imani 🥰

I am about to lease a luxury apartment in Bowie.

I am hoping to have a roommate for at least 6 months to 1 year.

The roommate will pay $1350 per month.

I would like to move in by June 22nd, 2024 .

This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Bowie, MD.

I do have a friendly dog so it would need to be with someone who maybe wants a pet but doesn’t already have one (cannot already own a pet).

The neighborhood has every amenities you could think of: fitness room, clubhouse, dog park, nature trails, soccer field, saltwater pool, yoga facility, etc.

It is close to my job and my church.

I am not a judgmental person, even though I am very strong in my faith; however, I don’t want to live with someone who smokes marijuana or smells like cigarettes.

I’ve only just stopped smoking marijuana in the last 6 months and I’ve been doing it for over 14 years so it’s not like I’ve never done it. But, I’ve just matured a lot in the last year and I’d like to live with someone who is responsible, mature, and career-focused and aligns with the life I am living right now.

I’d preferably like to live with someone who already has a set career and NOT someone who is still in party mode.

Facts about me:

I am a true nature lover. I love hiking or just spending time outside. I start my days walking my dog, praying, and spending time with my thoughts. I am really all about peace, zen, and being in a calm state of mind/environment.

I like to be grateful — not irritated.

I don’t want a triggering roommate lol

Also, fitness and health is important to me, too.

A clean kitchen is [very] important to me. I’d like to live with an organized person. I won’t do well with someone who is comfortable with dirty dishes or smelly trash.

I hope to live with someone who takes as much initiative to maintain a peaceful environment as I do.

When at home, I’m usually watching YouTube videos on my phone and/or just in my room.

I don’t really watch television so the living room will mostly be at your leisure.

I am also starting my life insurance business so most likely, I’ll be on the phone with headsets on, doing work from home — when I am home.

The apartment complex is great because they have other areas in the building for someone who works from home to be secluded, as well.

But, for guarantee money — I am the Internet Sales Manager for Honda.

I most likely won’t be bringing people back to the house.

I would be better to live with someone who also believes social life is for [outside] of the home, mostly.

Again, Ideally — I’m looking for a roommate who WANTS a pet but doesn’t already have one.

He’s super sweet and loves people, loves to sleep, and spend time in nature with me.

But, he’s very clean because he goes to doggy daycare once a week and they bathe him.

He also gets his paws cleaned off literally every time he comes in the house after a walk so he is not messy at all to furniture.

He goes to doggy daycare some days so he is use to people but he is not good with other dogs.

He does not bite furniture or use the bathroom in the house.

I would prefer someone who doesn’t plan on bringing company to the house often.

If you’re in a toxic relationship and will be arguing on the phone or in person — I am not for you.

Or, even if you’re a loud person who likes to blast music in your spare time — I’m also not the right person for you.

I want to have a roommate so I can save money towards my future financial plans.

I’d like to live with someone who is considerate and we both help balance the load for each other.

I would NOT be able to live with someone who constantly smells like tobacco.

This is an [absolute deal breaker] for me ‼️‼️‼️‼️

My personality type is very kind, easy-going (believe it or not, based on this very detailed and bossy description lmao), energetic, loving, prayerful, responsible, mature, business-minded, and into personal development.

My idea of a great time is spending time near any body of water, hiking, Pilates class, riding horses, paying off debt, watching/creating YouTube videos that inspire me, trying new restaurants, cooking new recipes, or growing my enterprise lol

My favorite type of food is Nigerian food, Ethiopian, Indian food, Mediterranean, and other options.

I aim to be healthy.

I would be good to live with if you Do [NOT] like loud noises.

I love peace and quiet.

The morning is my introspective time.

I am a positive spirited person and I aim to remain in high grateful spirits.

I am HUGE on integrity and character.

I would never invade your personal space or do anything that would make you feel unsafe.

Even if you dropped your wallet and it had a winning lottery ticket in it — I would never steal from you.

I will not disclose your personal business to anyone outside of our home.

I will cover you as my roommate.

Also, I love open communication.

I never assume that I am exactly what you hoped for.

If ever there was a time you needed to speak on your needs, I would never be upset about that. I encourage it.

The only way to co-exist successfully is to welcome open communication.

Also, I am usually great to talk to about life situations, if you ever need that.

So, even though I am about zen and peace — I am also a kind person with great conversation.

As long as it doesn’t become a distraction to my personal goals and comes w/ balance lol
