Description

Most would describe me as independent, easygoing, and kind. My hobbies are reading, writing, occasional gaming, and volleyball—I try to go out and play volleyball at least a couple times a week, but if I can’t, I go to the gym instead for stress-relief weightlifting. I also enjoy checking out coffee shops, going out on weekends, and a number of other things! I’m usually in bed by 10 (weekends excluded), and on days where I don’t have plans or obligations, I wake up around 9am. I like hanging out both in and out of the apartment, but I’m also a pretty big introvert and need time to recharge often. I consider my apartment a space of peace, but I do like to occasionally invite friends over when I feel up to it. Too large of parties might stress me out, but I am open to smaller ones if I get a warning beforehand! There might be some days where I stay in my room with headphones in, but I still like to chat, and would love to have a friendly relationship with my roommate where we can occasionally cook together, watch TV, go out for food, or otherwise. Having the shared spaces remain clean is important to me. This is partially because of allergies—I’m allergic to tree nuts, and have had a few situations where a roommate used almond butter or the like, didn’t clean afterwards, and I ended up with hives. If you like tree nuts, almond butter, almond milk or the like, that’s fine! The counters just need to be wiped after to avoid catastrophe. Sundays are my day to deep clean, but for the shared spaces, we can figure out a schedule or talk out how we’d like to split chores. I’m flexible with where in the DMV I end up. I don’t get back from Japan until August 2nd. Because of that, I’ll be ready to move in by mid-August. I’m open to living with up to two or 3 other people, preferably women or LGBTQ+ people. I don’t smoke and I don’t want to live with smokers. I’m also allergic to cats, so depending on the cat, I probably can’t do that either. I love dogs, though, and have no problem with them so long as I get to pet them every once in awhile :)
