Hello there ,

I am searching for a room or basement with private bathroom and possible private entrance to rent in Northern VA. This would be for my 14 year old and I. We are looking to move late July or early August. Convenience to high schools and metro access is most preferred.

About my family: I am a salon manager in Arlington, VA. I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and love it. Some of my hobbies include jewelry and candle making, karaoke, writing, and catching a good horror flick or show. I wouldn’t need a parking space. My teen is respectful and mostly keeps to art work and writings. Also loves music, singing and dancing. Super excited about entering high school. We also don’t mind being social. We would love to get to know our new roommates. If you prefer to keep separate, that is alright too. We will respect your privacy.

In our currently living situation, we share a 3 bedroom apartment with my two sisters and two young nephews. As you can imagine, there’s not a lot of quiet time. We are hoping for something different.

Our ideal housing requirements are as follows:

• a spacious, unfurnished townhouse, single family home, condo or apartment in Northern Virginia
• walking distance to public transportation and high schools
• sharing with only one other housemate, a family (three at most), male or female -a large bedroom or basement for my teen and I
• private bathroom and shower/bath -CAC and W/D in the residence
• ample closet and indoor and/or outdoor storage space
• walking distance to groceries, retail, etc.
• Open communication, kindness, harmony, respecting space, and keeping common areas clean are needed If any of this works well for you, please reach out.
