I’m starting the PhD program in Marine Sciences at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, working with U. of South Alabama! I would ideally like to live on the island, but I am comfortable with living anywhere within a ~30-min drive of the DISL and USA. I’m moving all the way from North Carolina, so I won’t be able to meet in-person until late-July at the earliest, but I’m very reachable virtually in the meantime! In general I try to be a clean and respectful roommate; I like creating a welcoming energy where everyone in the household feels comfortable in the common spaces. Open direct communication is my specialty, and I’m pretty flexible with accommodating folks’ living preferences as long as I have my own space to return to at the end of the day. I’m a big fan of all things marine science, and in my free time I like to knit, read, and explore the outdoors. If you’re looking for a book club buddy or a hiking partner, I’m happy to team up!
