Description

Hi! I’m Megan and I’m looking for a roommate to build a home with :)

About me: I just switched careers from academia to management consulting and I am really enjoying my new life in this job and in LA! In my free time I like to read, go to the beach, hike, see performance art (love opera and plays), dance (mostly to electronic music), and build community with friends and neighbors. I am outgoing and extroverted but recharge by taking a bath, watching a movie, reading, and/or chilling by myself.

About me as a roommate: I am very clean, easy-going, well-organized, and love making interior spaces feel homey and warm. I usually have a candle going and buy fresh flowers weekly–living in a cosy and clean space is very important to me! I lived with roommates for 10 years and never had roommate drama. I think this is because I have a very ‘live and let live’ attitude towards others. I don’t like having a lot of rules, but I do like having baseline respect and open communication so that living together is comfy and easy. Ideally I co-exist in my space with a roommate in a way where talking isn’t required, but I’m also happy to hang out and do things together occasionally! I love hosting (especially in outdoor spaces); some things I have hosted recently are a neighborhood pancake party, a friend’s sip-and-paint birthday, and a “crafternoon.” That being said, I always tidy up right away after hosting and (of course!) am welcoming to a roommate or any friend they want to bring. I’m not uptight and I’d like to live with someone similarly laid back, but at the same time naturally clean and organized who wants to build a home together :)

How often I’m around: I travel for work 1-2 times per month (Mon-Thurs) and go camping or traveling 1ish weekends per month. When I’m not traveling for work, I work from home.

About my dog: I have a 1-year old Australian Shepherd named Juniper. I am a lifelong animal person, meaning I have spent a lot of time training her and she is well-behaved (no barking). She also barely sheds! She does have a lot of energy because she is young, so I take her out 3-4 times a day :)
