31 male with Autism Spectrum Disorder, living in an overnight shelter and working part time with my uncle doing house repairs. I have difficulties with standard jobs for standard people, as I am not your typical person. But given the right environment I can thrive in my own unique ways. I am crafty with plenty of useful skills and would make for a great housemate for someone who could use some extra help with basic house repairs and maintenance. I don’t mind getting dirty and digging out some weeds. I also am a trained pest control technician. My applicators license is expired but my knowledge isn’t. I previously worked for companies like Starbucks, boeing, amtrak, but know the secrets for common home issues; rodents, ants, cockroaches, stinging insects(yellowjacks/wasps). I can take care of specific areas that need help (roommate with ants???) or do a perimeter spray on the exterior property and take care of all the little bug problems. Rodents I can set up and monitor rodent bait stations, along with give advice or help take care of where the rodents are hiding(cracks in buildings, bushes, tunnels in dirt). For managing electronics, I worked as a field technician installing and updating network equipment for school districts. For home repair, I am currently and have been doing a lot of exterior home remodeling, but only under supervision of an expert. I can do basic things or at least figure them out, like replacing electrical wall outlets or fixing a hole in the wall.

My biggest weakness is laundry.. but I wouldn’t mind dropping yours off at the laundromat, just don’t expect me to figure out doing that myself, my brain gets an error message whenever I try.

I would really like someone who would do a reduced rent rate for help, especially another disabled or elderly person as I connect well with them/understand them. I’m patient, I would just love someone patient with me too. I may have a unique way of doing things, but every invention was a new unique way to solve a problem. I also don’t get bored of repetitive tasks, I only get better at doing them or find better solutions.

I also love cats. Dogs are cool too but cats are the best 😊.
