Hi! My name is Rachel (she/her) and I’m 27 years old. I have lived in Portland/Vancouver my whole life. I’m currently unemployed due to lay offs. I previously worked in the healthcare field and processed claims for 3 years. I wanted to get this profile up and running as I continue to apply for jobs, go to interviews, and have this ready to communicate with potential roommates.

I’m looking to spend no more than $1000. Ideally, I’d like a bedroom with my own private bathroom, an en-suite would be more preferable.

If renting a house, garage space would be best as I may get my motorcycle license in the future and need the bike to be inside. If it’s possible to change the doorknob, I’d like to purchase my own keypad for privacy in and out of the bedroom.

As a roommate, I’ll most likely keep to myself in my room majority of the time. I’ll usually watch movies/shows or gaming with friends, so you may hear me talk, but I can keep the noise down and not be disruptive. I don’t cook, so I’ll be spending very little time in the kitchen and making only simple meals. I have no allergies and would be okay with dogs and/or cats (although I would prefer cats!). I do not do any drugs, this includes nicotine and marijuana. If you smoke, we will not be a good fit.

What I’m looking for in a roommate:

• Someone with a reliable source of income and is able to pay rent on time
• Someone that is clean, especially is shared spaces like the kitchen and living room
• Someone that does not smoke (cigarettes and marijuana)
• Someone that is respectful of quiet hours (depending on our schedules, but for ex. 12AM-10AM for weekends and 11PM-6AM for weekdays)
• Someone that doesn’t have guests over too often, no overnight stays
• Someone with the same mindset of no outside shoes in house, house slippers are fine

To be upfront, while I am open to being roomies, If you’re MAGA or republican, we probably won’t be a good fit.
