Hi :) After several years working on sailing yachts in the Caribbean, Med, and Atlantic, I have decided I would like to finish my studies in ethnobotany and anthropology at UH Mānoa in order to ethically take advantage of my work and travels. My family is from Mexico and I have grown up around California from SF to Baja at various points.

I am clean, responsible, and friendly; I’m not big on parties as I’m usually pretty busy and enjoy some peace, but I would like to room with people who would enjoy some downtime together occasionally. Specifically I would like to live with people interested in various art mediums who recognize the privilege we have to be able to live on native soil. I’m especially keen to meet people who are low key, friendly, and respectful.

In an ideal world, the home I move into is at least a year long adventure (hopefully two) and would have an office/creative space to make clothing, study, jam out, etc.

I have too many hobbies but mainly about: reading, sailing, knitting, crochet, yoga, surfing, free diving, SCUBA, backpacking, rock climbing, gastronomy, star gazing, & misc. outdoors fun.

I’m currently working with a few years worth of savings from charter work to get me started (my only expenses were flights and phone), but looking to work at a dive shop or restaurant this summer and perhaps shift into something in the realm of outdoor education once I enter school in the fall.
