My boyfriend and I just moved to Columbia from Pennsylvania this January. We actually are staying in an apartment that we rented but it is simply just not working out for us. We put a double deposit down to move in and we have never even met our landlord! We both got jobs but it took us longer than we had expected so our second months rent was late and basically the lease was written so that you have to pay so many late fees and so on that you’re basically just screwed. (Etc, etc) we both work at Applebees on Devine and would like to be somewhat close to there. We are very laid back but also very fun people. We are just looking for something short term until we can either rent our own apartment or buy something. I do have an 11 year old son but he is still in Pa and won’t be coming to live with us until we are in our own place again! We don’t have many friends so we just stick to ourselves and we do our own thing. We are both very clean and very good cooks!
