Hello! Friendly Chicano from Houston, TX. Arrived in Boston in 2017 to attend college. I managed to snag a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology but don’t worry!; I won’t bore you with STEM talk… unless this is also your interest. After college, I worked at BU Biology department as a Research Fellow. I am now currently employed at The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a Research Associate I. If this works with anyones criteria, I plan to continue my career here in the Cambridge area for at least the next 2.5 years and will mostly want to stay at the same location, if possible. I also worked at Starbucks for 5 years before and during college, so I can make a very good cup of coffee for you and I. Although I do love the sciences, I am a much more well-rounded, down-to-earth nerd. I enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy and self-help literature. I do take recommendations, which include other genres. I enjoy cinema even more than reading! I enjoy watching a wide range of cinema from Horror to RomComs and everything in between. I prefer seeing it on the silver screen, but I’m a huge fan of video streaming as well. If you are a fan of Marvel, DC, or franchises such as Star Wars, we can definitely discuss these common interests and plan events. If not your thing, I’m not the type of person to peer pressure someone into shows/movies/music, so no worries there. As diverse as my palette for films, my spectrum of music is on par; Ranging from Underground Hiphop, Rock, Driftpunk, International House, Lofi, and Classical. In warmer climates, I do enjoy riding bikes, playing basketball, jogging and taking small adventures around the different towns and neighborhoods in and around Boston. If I had to describe myself, I would say I am outgoing, hardworking, clean, friendly, and quirky. I love to socialize, but from time to time, I do enjoy my alone time to recharge my social battery. Disclaimer: I have an ESA, which is a VERY FRIENDLY cat certified by my Mental Health Care Provider (MHCP). I make sure her upkeep is very well kept up with on a daily basis and is not an obstacle in a living situation. She is a Black/White Short Hair domestic. She is very friendly to other animals and people. In the past, it didn’t take long for her to warm up to my roommates and vice versa. She’ll have you wanting your own within the first two months.
