Elijah

Hi, my name is Elijah! I previously worked for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and currently work at McLean Hospital. I am a 24-year-old transgender male, LGBTQ friendly, vaccinated and boosted. I don’t have pets or children (but don’t mind if roommates do, although I don’t like dogs very much. I love cats!). I put July as my move-in date because I had to put something, but I haven’t any definitive timeline right now. I don’t smoke or drink or use drugs (but again, don’t mind if roommates do! I am very introverted and quiet, but would love to be part of a family or be friends with roommates. I don’t think I’d have guests over (I’m single, have few friends, and family situation is…complicated). I have an excellent credit score and savings. I am VERY clean; cleanliness is one of the most important things to me in a shared living environment. I absolutely LOVE to study psychology and research those related topics of interest in my free time; I have a Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health counseling from Drexel University. Psychology is and always will be my number one passion, but I also love writing, listening to music, reading, and hiking. I will make you the best cup of tea you’ve ever had (former barista), although I do not cook (except to microwave things). I do have some medical conditions, and am open to answer any questions about them. Also, if you have any questions about me being transgender, I am happy to answer that as well (I’m not easily offended so don’t hesitate to ask!) I am currently in an abusive living situation and due to familial obligations, leaving has not been easy. I am financially stable, have an income and savings. The few things I would ask for in a roommate is understanding and sensitivity to past trauma, and understanding that I get overwhelmed sometimes from sensory input. I do need to have access to air conditioning for medical reasons, I have an AC window unit and would be very open to paying a bit more for utilities, as I’d likely be using more energy.
