I recently moved back to Dallas after a couple of years away so while I know a bit about DFW, a lot has also changed and I know a lot less people now than I used to.

Looking for a place closer to work since my commute wipes out a couple of hours a day. I work near Las Colinas and am hoping to find something within half an hour’s drive during evening rush hour.

I’m looking for someone pretty normal to live with that doesn’t like to get too wild all the time but also doesn’t make it seem like I’m living with a ghost or a fugitive. Hahaha! I work 8-5 and like to come home to unwind. I will likely start a Master’s later this year and am going to work on a couple of licensing and professional certification exams so weeknights I will likely keep pretty mellow but I also don’t mind taking it easy and enjoying an evening just hanging out. I am also getting back into a habit of working out a bit more because life is a bit more stable than it has been the past few years and it’s something that will allow me to live life to it’s fullest. If interested, I have a gym membership at 24 with a couple of buddy passes.

In my spare time I like to go out to concerts locally and even a few hours’ drive away if it’s on a weekend and the show is worth it. I also like to go hiking a bit really to get away and catch my breath from urban life.

I like to keep a clean place and am willing to handle part of the house responsibilities. I don’t mind overnight guests, but let’s at least give each other a heads up or something. I do draw a line at guests having their own key, left unaccompanied, basically living rent-free and I think that’s fair to everyone involved. I have a pretty reliable career and am looking to live with someone who is also steadily employed who I can count on to have their portion of rent and bills on time. As for smoking, if it’s going to be done, I prefer it be outdoors from a balcony or a backyard.

If it matters, I would prefer to rent a house, but it’s not a deal-breaker. I would also prefer to live with only 1-2 other people.
