My name is Sasha, and I’m a queer white elementary educator. I work at a school in East Oakland as a science teacher and reading tutor. I’m coming out of a relationship that didn’t work out (no drama, just not a good fit) and looking for a comfortable and low-key home where I can plan my next move more strategically. I work 5 days a week, attend various therapy and education groups in the evenings (some in person and others online), and am planning to start volunteering again. I’m an introvert and a reformed partier; I enjoy being social and would love to connect with roommates but need lots of quiet time to recharge my batteries.

I’m probably a 6 or 7 in terms of cleanliness; I have ADHD and am learning how to organize systematically, but I can’t stand to live in actual filth and was the primary dishwasher in my last collective housing situation. I tend to adapt based on the people with whom I’m living, and I enjoy working on little home improvement and decor projects. I’d likely be looking for housing through the end of the school year (moving out at the end of May or June), but am definitely open to staying longer-term with the right person or group of people. I have a sweet, fairly shy cat named Tilikum. In the past, she has tended to hang out in my room, but if you’re a cat person, she’ll warm up to you after a bit.
