Hi,

I am a recently divorced, middle-aged man who looking to start the next chapter in my life. The freedom I feel these days is something I haven’t felt in many years. I’m eating cleaner, exercising several times a week, and I’m even trying new things like meditation and reciting affirmations.

I like kids, although I don’t have any myself. I am blessed to be able to do something for a living that I actually enjoy. I teach 3rd graders at an extraordinary elementary school in the Eagle Rock area. Where else does the entire room laugh at my corny jokes? What other job has paid summer’s off? Speaking of which, how much do you remember from elementary school? If you’re anything like me, you had a blast! I have so many special memories that time in my life. Middle school, not so much…

I am physically active more days than not these days. I enjoy playing tennis, softball, disk golf, mountain biking, snorkeling, body boarding and hiking. I even tried Pickle Ball for the first time last week. What a blast! I’m a big sports fan and love the LA teams. I’m also a bit of a movie nerd. I really like sneaking in my homemade popcorn instead of having to overpay for that junk they try and sell me. Family and friends continue to be an integral part of my life. I enjoy socializing, but I don’t consider myself a social butterfly by any means.

I consider myself spiritual, but not religious. I try to keep an open mind and prefer to look for the similarities in people, not the differences. I practice meditation and enjoy taking afternoon power naps. In short, I think I’d make a great roomie since I clean up after myself, pay my bills on time, and don’t make a lot of noise (unless I’m practicing on my recorder.)
