Looking in: Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA.
Description
I’m a classical musician, who mostly teaches/plays piano and Harpsichord for a living, often supplemented by a church job, and occasional music/sound editing work. I have a nice sense or humor, and am also involved in meditation and yoga.
Socially conscious about the importance of trying to help others, and involved to some extent as an activist in that regard, I am empathetic and respectful of others lives. Also, I don’t smoke or drink. I am also Covid careful.
I’m LGBTQ friendly, and have been told I’m a nice guy, as well. Spent many years in NYC going to school there, and looking to ultimately find a home in the greater Albany area, as the Hudson Valley area seems to have many wonderful opportunities and aspects that are very attractive.
But I have had some colleagues who have said that there are many more opportunities in the greater DC area, as well as Chicago, so I’m looking those areas as well. Besides, there’s always Amtrak!
I have a harpsichord (8.5’ long), which I have often kept in my room, (Often with a loft bed solution), but would be wonderful to find someone classical music friendly. In a shared situation, I have often used digital keyboards and practice with headphones, to be considerate of my housemates.
I teach piano for much of my living via FaceTime, or in person (vaccinated here, and still very mindful!) in other’s homes. I’ve also had organist jobs and occasionally do benefit concerts, or house concerts for private and elegant events. I have found a great roommate situation several times, and being new to the area, I’m looking to hopefully find that, as I get better rooted in the community, professionally and socially.
