We have found ourselves in a very unique situation. Had to vacate our place in Morro Bay due to a, “ no-fault eviction“, meaning land-lord wanted to renovate our unit extensively and so we had to leave. The timing wasn’t horrible, we initially thought, because we were already planning on relocating to the central valley to buy a home. The eviction just pushed it up by only a few months. But the unforseen loss of my employment, caused by us not being able to find a place to live prior to being evicted, has left us without the ability to qualify for a rental in our name and to qualify for the entry into a 55+ mobile home park even though we have enough money to buy a mobile home outright in cash. So now we are homeless, living in hotels, trying to minimize our expenses, all the while I’m job hunting while she is trying to find us shelter that doesn’t require us to show proof of income. Remember that we have the financial means to buy a decent mobile home. We are in dire need.
