Roy

Hi, I’m Roy. I’m 25 years old and Taiwanese-American. I’m currently not working, but I’m interested in getting involved in making documentaries or YouTube videos that focus on people and their perspectives/stories. I’d also like to try out jam sessions (for like folk/soft songs, maybe?), but I’m just a closet singer with a desire to connect with other people who like more warm/soft songs. I try to go for walks or meditate when things get overwhelming because I find that it helps relieve stress. Other interests of mine include Korean culture/language and cats. My most recent favorite music album is “,and” by Roy Kim. I also recently started watching 미노의 요리조리 on YouTube and also like channels like ODG. If you have a cat, I will probably spend a lot of time trying to befriend it.

I think that compatibility with the people that I live with is very important to me, so I’d like to take the time to get to know potential roommates/housemates before deciding to live together. I recently took an MBTI test, and my result was ISFP-T (although I also think a lot). I like to live slowly and try to be considerate. I prefer being around people who are empathetic, patient, kind, and gentle. I hope that I can build friendships with the people that I live with. :) I think that I have much to learn still about building strong, supportive relationships, but for me it seems to start with vulnerability, honesty, and trying to understand each other.

I hope to live in or near Koreatown and move before March of 2023 and would like to have a monthly rent below $850, but the most important thing to me is the people that I live with.
