I am a nurse taking a travel assignment at New London Hospital. My contract starts December 26. I would be in the area somewhere in the ballpark of the 23rd. I need a room available at that time. I have a 13 week contract but if I like the job I would extend into June, but would definitely be there through March. If I extend through June then I would only pick up one more extension after that so the longest that I would possibly be there is for 39 weeks which equates to 3/4 of the year assuming I extend the contract twice, which I don’t think will happen, but can’t say for sure. Would need to be on a month-to-month basis since you never know if you’re going to get canceled, although I don’t think that’s a concern with this contract. My boyfriend, who is also a nurse, might join me on assignment at any point during the 13 weeks. If that were to be the case, then we would obviously renegotiate any terms for additional utilities incurred by his presence. We are both non-smokers, don’t drink or party. Don’t use drugs. just work, work, work. So probably won’t be home very much anyway.
