Working mornings to afternoons downtown. Been in South Seattle for about 5 years and then Central for 2. Was previously between Green Lake and West Seattle. Before that I was back and forth between Tacoma and Federal Way while traveling for work with a disaster response group and back country state forestry organizations. Just before settling in Seattle I lived in a Buddhist monastery for half a year which is where I first worked in an industrial kitchen to support the largest Vinaya gathering of nuns since WWII. Been in kitchens and cafe’s since, mostly specialized diet adjacent (vegetarian, vegan, keto).

In addition to my job, I deliver doordash on my electric unicycle in a lot of my freetime.

I’m rather quiet. Usually blasting something thru at least one earbud. Clean keeping and chore minded (the monastery wasn’t my first time living in community, as back country and disaster response were often communal living situations. Back when I was fresh out of highschool, I also lived in Alaskan fishery dormitories). All of these situations involve and require rather conscious and intentional behavior for the sake of those around you. A clean floor means a calm mind.

I spend a lot of time nerding out in front of a monitor, reading, and scribbling art or cryptic nonsense. Before lockdown, I was a lot more social, and physically active. I’ve been making an effort to walk and stretch more. I used to love running tho and need to get back at it.
