My name is Michelle and I am a 34 year old nurse with one 9lb chihuahua/terrier mix named Libby. Libby is well-behaved, quiet, taken for regular walks, and would likely stay in my room when I’m not at home. I work out of the home 3x per week, sometimes more.

I’m seeking a private bedroom in either Orange County, South LA County, or San Diego County. Right now I live in Long Beach and I’m happy where I’m at, but posting this just in case something even more ideal comes along. I enjoy living on the coast because I take my dog to the dog beach in Huntington often and I enjoy paddle/boogie boarding. I also regularly practice yoga, read, cook, create art, and typically keep to myself at home. I’m enrolled in an online BSN program, so I appreciate a relatively quiet living space to study. I very rarely have company, but when I do it’s usually my mom visiting from out of town.

As you can see, I am pretty open to a commute. The peacefulness coastal living offers is worth the travel to me.

Bedroom/house preferences:

1. Hardwood, tile, or laminate floor
2. At least 11x10
3. Private bathroom (shared with one other person is okay too)
4. Large closet
5. Enclosed patio with sliding door (my current bedroom has this and Libby uses a doggy door to let herself out when I’m not home)
6. Nice windows
7. Shared living spaces with some cabinet space for me carved out
8. Tidy without reminders
9. Safe neighborhood
10. Laundry on site

Roommate preferences:

All this being said, just because I know what I’m looking for doesn’t mean I’m inflexible. I understand it will be hard to find the perfect room in this market with my budget, but I’m hoping someone sees this ad and reaches out when they feel they’ve got the almost-perfect spot for me. I’m hoping I can share a space with roommate(s) who are considerate of others and the space.
