Nigel

Hello! My name is Nigel (he/him) and I am on the search for a new room between now and May 1st and would love to find roommates to share that with. My move date is somewhat flexible but I would prefer sooner than later.

I work in Boerum Hill and live in Bushwick and love it here. Ideally I would like to stay this neighborhood or find a place not too far from work via train or bike (such as Crown Heights, Bed Stuy, Williamsburg or anything off the A/C or G train). I have a steady job, excellent credit, and no criminal record or evictions, and always pay rent on time.

“Considerate” is the word I would use to describe myself as I am always conscious of how I take up space and affect others, my noise levels, and responsibilities as a roommate. I have always loved cohabitation, and hope to find like-minded communicative people to share food and conversation with. Happy to keep to myself at home, but really hoping to share a meal or a film with from time to time.

When I am not working at my restaurant I am exploring my deep love of the arts through my own self expression of illustration, painting, collage, or enjoying other’s art at museums, galleries, clubs, and venues. Really not into social media so apologies if that is worrisome for you but I avoid it for my mental health. My other interests include: riding my bicycle and walking all over the city, cooking new recipes, live comedy, staying on top of my mental health with group therapy and physical health with yoga and swimming, saunas, horror, playing immersive story-based video games on my computer, curating playlists, drawing and reading comics, and just getting back into creating art in general, and of course staying informed on local and world events, and spending time with people I love.
