Heya. I’m a soon to be divorced, young, 54 yr old counselor and artist. My soon to be ex and I are selling our home and we have entered a contract with buyers that will put my availability to move out and in to my new digs at the end of September ’22.

I have two cats that are like my children. One of them is a designer breed that requires my roommates to agree to be VERY careful not to ever let him outside. He DOES have a GPS tracker on his collar but there are other reasons why he can never go outside, even accidentally, for a short while.

I love creating a warm and inviting home with room to spread out. I’m hoping to find a compatible roommate that will afford us the opportunity to avail ourselves of more house than we would otherwise be able to afford. For example, there are some very lovely, large 4 & 5 bedroom, luxury family homes in Happy Valley and surrounds that I would love to rent/lease by pooling our incomes together.

I need space to spread out. I’m coming from a 3300 sq foot home, and while I am getting rid of a lot of stuff due to my divorce, there’s no way one bedroom will be sufficient for me. I would like the master bedroom of any place we find, and I’m willing to pay more for my portion of the rent, in exchange.

Personality wise, I’m practiced extrovert, but a natural introvert. I love my quiet space, reading, yoga, and the like, but I also love seeing live music and traveling. Self-care is important and I practice mine by hanging out with my cats & my bf, in addition to nourishing my inner spiritual life; I’m an Astro buff, & will probably be very interested in your chart. I seldom watch TV. I’m a natural night owl and work odd, non-traditional hours bc I do zoom sessions with clientele in alternate time zones in Europe Australia, NZ and throughout the world.

I care a lot about my atmospherics, and living in a beautiful, clean, well-organized & light-filled space is important to me. I would describe my personal style as bohemian chic and I often jokingly call my decorating style, “Bedouin chic”. (Think colorful tapestries & pillows from Morocco & India and the like) I’m not much of a cook, and I’m a vegetarian. I mostly graze for my nutritional needs throughout the day.

Ideally, the place we find has space to work out. (I don’t have a lot of equip, but I do have a little bit. (Mostly hand weights with bands,,stability & weighted medicine balls)

I’m kind, considerate, responsible & consider myself a perennial adolescent with a good sense of humor. I’m also a great listener and a supportive friend.

Oh! I can’t forget to mention - I’m a progressive democrat politically-speaking, and would prefer roomies that are aligned with my politics. If the above qualities & characteristics sound interesting to you, let’s find a time to meet up!
