Hi all! I am looking for one roommate (preferably a woman) to share an apartment in Jersey city or Hoboken with me. (My apartment in nyc just flooded so I sadly have to move ASAP.) A little about me: I’m a born and raised New Yorker. I am currently in the midst of remote graduate school studies and an internship. (I am studying environmental policy.) So, I will likely be working a lot from home. I also would appreciate sharing the space with someone who is somewhat eco-minded perhaps. I have a pet cat and rabbit, both of whom are adorable and social. I stay at my boyfriends quite often so I would love to have a roomie who is willing to feed the animals some days in exchange for fair payment. This also means you would have the house to yourself sometimes. When I am home I am quite social and I would love to ideally develop a friendship with whoever my roommate is. I like visual arts (I’m on a bit of a fiber arts kick these days) and playing music (though I’m usually not very loud with my instruments and don’t actually practice that often). I also love to cook vegan meals, though I don’t mind people cooking or eating animal products around me at all. I enjoy social gatherings but am not a super big partier these days. Having a party in the house once in a while could be fun though so long as both of us are ok with it. I would like to room with someone I can explore the area with as I will be new to Jersey. I am tidy/clean in common spaces and would like a roommate who is as well. I am easy to get along with and ultimately I think good communication is key to maintaining a good roommate relationship. Kindness, respect, and social-justice mindedness are important to me and I would appreciate a roomie who shares these values. Please message me if you think we might be a good fit!
