Looking for a clean, safe, affordable place to live outside the city center, anywhere between Lancaster and Quarryville. I have a 22 lb., 11-year-old dog with me. We are clean, neat, quiet, friendly, respectful, and sociable. We’ve spent 16 years teaching reading, writing, research skills, and exam preparation to university students overseas. We came back to the US just a few months before COVID hit to care for my mother, who lives in a retirement community, and who had been hospitalized for a back injury. My pup and I traveled up and down the east coast throughout lockdown, staying wherever we could, but I was able to secure stable employment at the end of the summer of 2021. I spend most of my waking time working or caring for my mother (my dog stays with her while I work). My dog is good-natured, friendly and loving. He’s good with children and other dogs who are gentle in nature. Since I grew up in New England and know no one in the area outside of my family, making a friend or two would be lovely. Our needs are simple and few: a safe, clean, affordable place to live, and a safe place to walk. We are presently living in . My lease ends September 5, so I’m looking for something fairly quickly. I can provide criminal background check, child abuse, and fingerprinting clearances. I can also provide a credit report, passport and driver’s license all upon meeting. They say that it takes 6 months for every year one has lived overseas to reacclimate and overcome reverse culture shock. COVID has not helped this. Looking for housing online is completely new to me. I find this process very frustrating, upsetting, and overwhelming. I would be happy to meet and talk with you, and to answer any questions you may have.
