Hello! I’m Rain (29, he/him, married) and I’m looking for a room for one in the Bay. I’m moving back to the SF Bay Area after 2 years in Boston to work at a climatetech startup.

About me: I’m originally from the Philippines, went to college in Texas, grad school in the Bay Area, and worked for two years in Boston. My wife is finishing up veterinary school in New York. We previously lived in the Bay 2014 - 2020 during our time at Stanford. I’m low maintenance and clean. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, at the gym, hanging with friends and family, and obsessing over my newest hobbies. Huge fan of the museums and art in the area, always down to see live music, book readings, theater shows, flea markets, etc

Pros of having me as a roommate: I’m a chemist and amateur cook, and I like to make food but can’t justify the calories on my own. Expect baked goods, pizza, Korean + Filipino + French cuisine, my forays into vegetarian/vegan food, homebrew beer and kimchi, and more. I’m communicative, transparent, bad at poker, good at catching Dungeness crabs, and pretty dang alright at organizing weekend road trips. I have a car and would be happy to share rides whenever I can :)

I’ve had very positive experiences living with roommates, and would prefer living with folks who are down to hang out but also have their own thing going on. Huge plus if you’re 1) kind and 2) occasionally up for making so-bad-its-good art with me. I’ve lived with a lot of different people over the years, so I’m comfortable with most social situations and happy to go with the flow. My wife will visit for holidays and occasionally some weekends!
