Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I’m relocating to Connecticut for my job. I will be working in Haddam but am looking to live south of Hartford or in the Middletown area. I am hoping to find a roommate (female only) for a move in date around August 1st. I am pretty flexible in budget but would prefer to keep it around $1000 per person or lower. I am hoping that we can look for a place together to find a place that is right for the both of us.

A little about me: I am 24 and an engineer. Outside of work I like to read, listen to music (I love a good concert), explore parks (I love walking trails as well as pulling out my hammock and reading), watch shows/movies, do puzzles, and just generally relax as my job can be quite demanding. As for my personality, I am very friendly, open-minded, and easy-going and would like to be friendly or even good friends with my roommate. I am introverted though, so I usually prefer a quieter environment and need a bit of alone time each day to recharge. I’m not a smoker or a partier and I don’t drink much in general but enjoy a fun cocktail with friends. I really love dogs and I would ideally like to get one within the next year.

What kind of roommate I’m looking for: I would like someone who is clean, friendly, easy-going, open minded and will respect our space. Someone with some similar interests would be awesome, but honestly, I don’t mind either way because I love learning new things and would love to hear about the things you’re interested in. I would like someone who is also a non-smoker. I would prefer a young professional like myself.
