Hi! I’m Julia, and I’m a 28-year-old woman looking to move to Chicago around August 15. I’m relocating from Atlanta for a job, but I’ve lived in the NYC area for four years previously, as well as in Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana.

My budget is $1300 for rent, with a little wiggle room depending on the parking situation. I absolutely need A/C and a dishwasher. I’d prefer no more than a one-floor walk-up. I don’t want roommates who smoke in/around the house. I also would prefer to live with women, and not with couples (officially or unofficially) , but if the right situation comes up, that’s obviously negotiable!

I’m prioritizing apartments near the Brown L line, or the 143 / 147 / 151 bus lines. I will be bringing my car and a cat (who’s very friendly!), so looking for something that either has a paid parking option or easy street parking, and something that is pet-friendly. Brie (my cat) is cat-friendly, but not sure about dogs, so no dog roommates for me, unfortunately.

I am a relatively clean roommate – shoes off, clean up after yourself, etc. – but I am not ultra-clean. I loved hosting my friends when I lived in Jersey City, and would love to build a community here that enjoys hosting and having people over as well!
