Hey people! Anyone here that isn’t 20 and perhaps starting over instead of starting? Or just continuing on with your bad-ass self? I don’t know what 41 is “supposed” to feel like, but I’m not that! No kids helps a lot I think! First up MUST LIKE DOGS! I have 2 dogs (13 y/o Pomeranian and 4 y/o lab mix “foster fail”). Both are obedience trained, and extremely friendly towards humans and other animals (so friendly that we travel in a pack to house sit and dog sit for other people!). Will happily live with more pets! We currently live in a duplex in St Paul with a garage, yard etc. However, my downstairs neighbor is LOUD so we (me and the dogs) are looking for a new spot. I’d love to move back to Minneapolis particularly South Minnie as that’s where my family/friends reside. Or even close by like Highland Park. I was in a bad jet ski accident a year ago and my injuries included a TBI. Since then I live a pretty quiet life out of necessity. Loud noisy places are terrible for me (hence the move). I’m a fully functional adult living on my own but finding a path different than the one I was on. I don’t need help but I do put things in weird spots sometimes! I’m a rare drinker these days but was a bartender so can make fancy muddled things - will drink socially if I’m feeling up for it and have zero problems being around it. Though being around completely wasted people every night isn’t my idea of fun. Non-smoker, non-drug user, prefer that environment in a home. However, someone smoking weed outside does not bother me. LGBTQ ally, liberal, will take all the COVID vaccine they will give me, anti-anything that Trump likes, agnostic, Kiwi but pretty “Americanized”. Love to cook, bake, do yoga, paddleboard, camp, write, watch bad TV on occasion, be in the sun, get to an ocean whenever possible, make people laugh, have a fire, live in peace, and meet all the dogs. Would love to have a yard again (makes such a big difference!) and fenced is better. Strongly prefer my own bathroom 😬 but am happy to have other shared spaces. Require natural light in my home. Haven’t lived with a roommate in years but back in the day cohabitated with males, females, a male that transitioned to being a female, and anyone else who was cool. Looking into roommate situations now cause living by yourself is spendy. Want someone easy to live with that values both social and alone time and is an effective communicator. Or a place by myself again that is magically less spendy! Well, this turned into an essay so gold star for you if you got all the way here! 🫶🏼
