I’m a 45-year-old woman and I have a quiet, shy 12-year-old child. I’m looking for a private bedroom and private bathroom to rent, preferably inside of a house, PLUS one ‘extra space’ (it may officially be considered an office, loft, nook, etc). Just a little something, so that my child and I would have two sleeping areas– even if one of them is not officially deemed a bedroom.

Apartments are so expensive! I haven’t yet seen a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment that I could afford by myself.

I nanny at the family’s home 4 days per week, and I teach arts & crafts classes a few days per month at a cultural arts center. I’m usually home quite a bit, other than working & errands.

I’m a non-smoker. I do drink wine occasionally, but I think beer tastes gross. I don’t do any illegal drugs. I worked at an elementary school for 13 years prior to becoming a nanny. My background is squeaky clean.

I bake delicious fudge brownies and I make cute crafts. I don’t throw parties or even attend them. I suppose I am quite boring, actually. But maybe you’d like that in a roommate vs living with a party animal?!

Currently, I’m living with my husband and child in our house. That may change, which is why I’m looking to see what’s out there and what I can afford.
