I’m a 28 year old Aussie who has just moved to Atlanta to start a new job at Emory University as a post doctoral research scientist. I’ve lived in share houses for the past 9 years in Sydney so consider myself pretty well versed in housemate etiquette: very much enjoy being mates with my housemates (especially moving to a whole new country) and enjoy sharing dinner or drinks with them when we’re free, but also respect boundaries, privacy and time alone. I’m not looking for a party house, but am keen for a social house in which we can be mates. I consider myself a fairly clean housemate particularly of common areas and have never been late on rental payments/bills. I’m a very big sports fan, mostly just spectating, so am keen to get amongst American sports, particularly ice hockey and NFL. I’m also a big fan of music, so will be looking out for gigs whenever I can, and am happy to introduce you to some great Australian music! I do enjoy cooking too, and am more than happy to cook up a dinner or two to share with my housemates if they’re keen (more than just a Vegemite sandwich I promise!).
