I’M NOT LOOKING TO ROOM WITH MEN.

I’m not limited to the locations listed. Just looking for somewhere hopefully in a minimum 10-20 mile radius tbh.

I am a single parent, to a 12 year old (only child), wanting to separate my kid and I from our current living situation. Looking for a private room to rent for at least 12 months or potentially more if things go well.

I DO NOT have pets currently but plan to get a cat and or maybe a dog at some point.

I need roommates that understand I don’t want to make friends with them (if it happens, cool, if not idc… I’m just looking for a roof to reside under) While I am at times very socialible, I do prefer to keep to myself a fair amount. Must be able to not take that personally. I just want a peaceful, content household to live in until we can aquire our own space. I view a home as place of solitude, a sanctuary from the outside world. So I hope for one where people who live with me won’t undermine my parenting or try to parent my kid (hell, or try to parent me, a fully grown human).

Required, someone who is good at direct communication, knows how to respect boundaries and gives people their space when necessary.

My kid and I are both neurodivergent, so other neurodivergents would be a definite + for us. I typically don’t like to entertain company in my living space (especially more so since covid came into play). So I would appreciate minimal strangers to us just hanging around in the house.
