We are a professional couple in our mid to late 30s looking ahead to the end of our lease in June and open to teaming up with the right roommate. While we can comfortably get a place on our own, we are interested in sharing a larger home if it allows everyone to have more space and keeps things financially balanced. We really value privacy and having separate living areas. An ideal setup would be something like an upstairs and downstairs layout where each side has bedrooms and a bathroom, with shared spaces such as the kitchen, yard, and laundry. We have found that this kind of arrangement creates a healthy balance of independence and friendliness. I work from home and Andy works full time in the office. During the week we keep a steady routine and truly enjoy our downtime. Andy loves sports, and we both appreciate relaxing at home, cooking, and having a calm space to recharge. At the same time, we enjoy getting out on the weekends, heading to the mountains, camping, traveling to see family, and staying active. We are clean, responsible, and always pay rent and bills on time. We are hoping to live with someone who is similar in that sense, mature, communicative, financially stable, and past the college party stage. We are both sober from alcohol, but we are completely comfortable with a roommate who drinks responsibly or has guests over. Mutual respect and reasonable quiet hours during the workweek are important to us. We also have an emotional support dog who is a very sweet Brittany Spaniel (Poppy). Because of her, we are ideally hoping to find a house with a fenced yard.
