I’m a 48-year-old single male looking to find a home in Oakland, as a few months ago I fell in love with a woman living in Fairview Park. I’ve worked as a middle and high school English teacher, in publishing, and for a nonprofit organizing meditation retreats. At present I work from home managing a portfolio of investments that I’ve been fortunate to grow over the years. Outside of work my main focus is on my spiritual practice of mindfulness meditation. I study with a spiritual teacher who happens to live in Stockton, which is where I’ve lived for the last year and a half. My teacher has recently stepped down from actively teaching, and combined with meeting my current partner the timing feels right to move to the East Bay. My interests include reading, going to the gym, yoga, biking, exploring Nature, hiking, dance, and learning to make new recipes.

As a roommate I am friendly, respectful, responsible, and mindful of my environment. I have had many housemates over the years and am deeply conscientious when it comes to sharing a living space with others, keeping our living space clean, and being mindful of noise. I’m looking for a peaceful place to call home, while getting to meet good people in the process.
