Description
Hi, there!
I’m single and quiet. I cook pretty often but rarely anything involved. I’m quite excellent at keeping things clean and ensuring that everything flows smoothly so all can use the shared spaces (taking out trash as soon as it’s topped off, emptying dish rack / washer, wiping down crumbs and food residue, refilling soap dispensers, keeping sinks and toilets wiped down as I use them rather than just waiting for a big cleaning, taking the trash bins to the curb, etc.) I’m looking for housemates who will also just take care of things as they come up in this way rather than letting them sit or waiting for someone else to do it. Not looking for perfection–everyone forgets or is in a hurry sometimes–but I generally want people to be on top of things. And of course, communicating about all these things up front and as they arise in a respectful way so that everyone is on the same page is vital to a shared household, in my opinion. I tend to keep a fairly quiet home life and appreciate living in spaces where people are respectful of shared areas and each other’s boundaries.
I work in a social-emotional learning program at an elementary school in Oak Grove. My job involves supporting kids with special needs who have behavioral and emotional challenges, so a lot of my work centers around communication, regulation, and relationship-building.
Outside of work, movement is a big part of my life. I’m involved in several dance communities around Portland (West Coast Swing, ecstatic dance, and some contact improvisation). I also enjoy reading, music, fitness, and exploring ideas with friends.
