Upper floor private ensuite with very short safe walk (10 minutes tops) to Vienna Metro station. All local buses, as well as buses to Tysons, Fair Oaks, Ballston and even NYC depart from there too. George Mason drives right by all day long. You seriously do not need a car to live here. COVID-19 update. To help minimize the spread of germs, there is a restroom adjacent to the entry for washing hands before heading up to the rest of the house. For mail and other deliveries, I have a stainless steel table by the front door were items can be left for a couple days, or steamed or sanitized before bringing upstairs. And each room has a high quality new-in-box medical grade room air filter for your use.

The suite is located in a 4-level townhome (1600 sq ft) built in 2012 with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. All rooms have their own private in-room bathrooms in addition to 2 other half-baths on other floors. Shared washer and dryer are conveniently on 3rd floor (see pic - no dark basement here!). Kitchen is an open, well-lit and organized space ideal for sharing with other people on different life schedules - small deck off the kitchen is excellent for grilling, and we use it often! Each person has their own cupboards and drawers for food and some dishes, with other cabinets for shared dishes and utensils. Ground floor garage and tiled entry room (looks like hardwood) are ideal spaces for keeping your bike, outdoor equipment or tools you want to use regularly. Single car garage is not available for parking - there is already a car in it! Street parking is available but very limited. Daily and monthly parking is always available at the Vienna metro station nearby - which I use sometimes and recommend. The townhouse is located in the Metro West neighborhood. Short commute to Arlington, George Mason, Mosaic and Tysons corner. Safeway, drugstores, Microcenter and other convenient businesses are only an .8 mi walk away. Primary resident (me) is a mid-40s professional man who works a lot - Daytime at client site, evenings at home. No smoking or drugs of any kind are allowed in the house. Alcohol is okay as long as it doesn’t impair your ability to be a good house-mate. I have a variety of technical and creative interests, but I don’t expect those to overlap with potential house-mates. Perhaps your interests are more interesting than mine:) Either way, I have found that a positive outlook, good communication and self-direction matter most when it comes to sharing a house. Rent is $750. All utilities are included (excellent internet, cable tv, wifi water, gas, heat, and all rooms have their own Ethernet drop) as well as professional cleaning scheduled every month. Dual zone heat/AC keeps things comfy all year. Some storage is available on the first floor, with a tile floor room to keep your bike or other things instead of the garage. 50% deposit is required and will be returned when rental agreement is complete, minus any amount needed for potential repairs beyond normal wear and tear.
