One room for rent on first floor in a brand new, modern farmhouse with open floor plan in historic downtown Auburn for $850. The bathroom is shared; so females preferred. The “vibe” is mini farm in the city. We are into living as sustainably as possible and have gardens, quail (meat and eggs), a livestock guardian dogs, and compost everything.

Walking distance to to the Sounder Train (37 mins to downtown Seattle and 17 mins to Tacoma). One hour from Crystal Ski Resort. Two and half miles from Green River College. Close to public land and national forests and Rainier National Park. This 3,015 square foot home has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sits on two lots.

We share the common spaces including: large living room that is open to the dining room and the kitchen, and the laundry room with gym in the basement. Your room can be furnished or unfurnished. The rest of the house is furnished. We keep an immaculate home, and there is NO drama. I have an open-minded lifestyle and can accommodate a range of personalities. I enjoy having people around the house and hope to create a community. Join in as much or as little as you want.

What’s included in the rent: air conditioning, lots of parking, garage, high-speed WiFi, gym/work out area, storage available in finished basement, all common household supplies (laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, etc…), state-of-the-art security system, outdoor cooking area, BBQ grill, firepit, and monthly maid service to deep clean the common areas and your bathroom. I just went 100% solar; so electric bills this summer are zero and are greatly reduced in the winter.

We split the rest of the utilities, but I pay all the water bill since I’m always adding gardens and landscaping. Security deposit includes a cleaning deposit.

We are all working professionals and get along well. One housemate works in the medical field and has two Great Pyrenees, who are a “gentle giants”. I work full-time in conservation and have a super sweet and well-socialized pittie. In my free time, I am an artist, and usually have several projects in the works. We all like to camp and get out of town on the weekends when we can. We are looking for secure, highly-conscientious adults to share our home. Good communication and humor is a must.
