$1,050/mo., including utilities Furnished, 1500 sq. ft. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom basement apartment (partially finished, with it’s own entrance) with central A/C and heat, for rent on over an acre property, in a nearly 5000 square foot, well updated idyllic craftsman house. The security deposit can divided into smaller payments if needed.

Conveniently located within a mile of the 99 fwy and the CAT bus line (Canby Area Transit which goes to Canby and Oregon City and connects to other bus lines that go as far as Portland and other significant locations) and 10 mins from downtown Canby, Oregon City and West Linn. 20 minutes to Wilsonville and just over 20 minutes to Tualatin/Lake Oswego. 35 minutes to Portland and 30 minutes to PDX airport.

The property is well manicured and beautifully landscaped with a pond, views of the Willamette River, lush greenery, mountains and the gorgeous sunset! It has a pasture with: a friendly flock of 10 hand raised chickens who produce delicious organic free-range and farm fresh eggs, a mini orchard and garden beds with pears, apples, plums, peaches, blackberries, strawberries, garlic, rhubarb, rosemary, walnuts, asparagus, yellow and green zucchini, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, bell peppers, hot peppers, sunflowers, blueberries, various herbs, and more (all non-GMO and organic) for everyone to enjoy!

We do have the 99 (2 lane hwy) and train track behind us but the sound is very muffled from indoors and the river views and beauty of our property, surrounding greenery more than make up for it. If you mind traffic noises, this may not be the place for you. I personally love the all surrounding farm properties, our river views and catching a view of the Pacific Union train as it passes by! Not to mention all the wildlife that visit our property; lots of beautiful birds and even the occasional deer who visit our pond.

The offered furnishings are; 2 matching couches, several side tables, a side chair, a dining table and chairs for 8, large clothing wardrobe with clothing rods and dresser drawers, a dresser, a kitchenette (with a single hot plate, a large hot plate, microwave and medium sized crockpot- no stove or oven and no dishwasher but a drying rack has been provided) and large cabinets on coasters (pictured) for pantry items, two stackable twin sized bed frames and mattresses (that can be configured into an L-shape couch or king size bed or stacked as one twin size bed- I’ve included 4 stock photos for reference) and/or a comfy full size futon with a pillow top sheet. There is a stainless steel fridge as well. The apartment can be unfurnished, if preferred.

The Interior stairwell in the basement leads to the main floor kitchen and to the shared laundry room (off of the hallway just off of the kitchen).

*The exterior decor and kitchen decor is different than pictured. The willow tree, several trees along the pasture and other hedges were removed due to the ice storm this year.

About the roomies

This household has: Two friendly and respectful adult female roommates on the first floor (there is a bedroom above the basement kitchen and above the basement bedroom) and myself (38 year old female) with my three children (ages 9, 12 and 14) in the main part of the house (our bedrooms are located on the top floor). We are all early risers during the weekdays; we are up between 5:30-7:30am and typically quiet down for the night between 9:00-11:00pm.

We have a very friendly chihuahua and a friendly medium sized dog, though she is learning to use her inside voice and requires some introduction.

Though the soundproofing is minimal and the household systems are noisy in the basement apartment, it is a relatively quiet, harmonious and peaceful household, aside from the ruckus children and dogs make.
