THE BUILDING: Clean and well-maintained, highly responsive superintendent on-site. Only about 5 years old. Everything is in top condition. Halls are cleaned frequently. Laundry room on 2nd floor, bike room on first floor. (There is no doorman but packages are easily collected / have never been lost left next to elevator.) Ten stories with a panoramic roof view of all of Manhattan from the WTC to the Empire and beyond - it is breathtaking. DOG FRIENDLY (sorry no cats, I’m allergic).

THE APARTMENT: 2 Bedroom Apartment. The available room fits a double/queen bed, side table, and a dresser or desk (there is a side table already available if wanted). The room is on the opposite side of the central living space / kitchen from my own bedroom, nice and private. Closet with in-built storage racks. Window with views southeast over Brooklyn. The apartment itself is hardwood with nice details. For example, the kitchen has all steel appliances w/ dishwasher and in-built microwave; also a couple eat-in breakfast stools. Toaster oven, blender, food processor, Sodastream, tea kettle. (No coffee-maker.) The bathroom is beautiful with a swing-out glass door rather than a curtain, nice bathtub. There is a little living room with couch, cozy papasan chair, coffee table, and a side table and record player/speakers. No TV but there IS room for one if you want to bring one, where the record player is now. There is a little deck with a wooden table and two chairs, nice for breakfasts with a beautiful view east of Brooklyn. It is filled with plants (pretty dreary now but lovely and green in summer). Although the building is next to the BQE, the apartment is on the east side away from it and I rarely/ever hear external noise - excellent windows. Personally controlled in-apartment heat & AC. Wifi.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: The building is 2-3 blocks away from the Lorimer L/Metropolitan G, pretty much in the heart of Williamsburg. The JM is 2/3 of a mile away. The neighborhood has everything you’d want: still has bodegas but also swish coffee shops, restaurants out the wazoo, good dry cleaning nearby. There’s a kind of expensive but mostly organic grocery right at the train station, or C-Town supermarket one station away for more extensive and cheaper selection.

I am an early thirties female professional. I work fairly long and consistent hours and am pretty absent most weekdays. Spend a bunch of time cooking or gardening on the weekend. I do work from home several times a month. I rarely have people over (beyond maybe a date or two). I am fine with a roommate who goes out late but prefer they not bring the party home. I appreciate someone who is fairly organized and pitches in their share of cleaning duties. I have submitted for a basic criminal background check which Roomies is processing. Note that all utilities are included in rent.
