About the room
We have a guest room in our 2BR apt in downtown Walnut Creek we’re considering to rent on a weekly/monthly basis to the right prospective female tenant on a short term basis (as short as weekly, or a couple/few months). It’s furnished–we are not looking to move furniture out (there is a nice bunk bed in there now). Available now (move-in date flexible).
The good: We’re a 6-minute walk to downtown Walnut Creek (25-minute walk to BART, or 10 minute walk to the nearest Free Ride trolley/bus stop that takes you to WC BART ). The place is clean and modern, and washer/dryer is in unit (free). This guest room has direct access to a small back patio area leading to the front (direct, private entrance). We’re part of a duplex so there’s really only one other “unit” instead of many surrounding tenants. Willing to pro-rate for daily ($30)/weekly ($205) stays since shorter term stays (six months or less) are really the only situation we’re open to.
$50 flat additional fee for utility bills: fast internet, YouTube TV subscription, PGE, water/trash.
Ideal Candidate: Female, clean, heavier sleeper, and low maintenance (someone who maybe works or goes to school pretty regularly). Someone with steady income and also easygoing. Someone in transition between living spaces, perhaps. Someone in a relatively small “bubble,” conscientious socially given COVID and we have a little one. Again, it’s really open for a short-term stay, ideally (1-3 months). Someone who does not have a lot of stuff (again, room’s already furnishes). For one person only–landlord requirement–we’re in a small space so it’d be cramped, anyway.

About the roomies
My wife and I are friendly, clean, dependable, educated, and easygoing, we have a 4-year old son. He’s a pretty good sleeper, but…yeah…young one in the house. I work long weekdays as a School Director in downtown SF, wife’s a stay-at-home mom (her request for the female tenant), and on weekends we enjoy spending time with the boy in/around Walnut Creek.
Our living environment isn’t huge and our son’s obviously a considerable variable, so we really want to connect with the right person here to ensure everyone’s comfortable.
