This listing is for a private room with a private bathroom available starting 9/15/2023(though, it can be flexible). The room is in a 998 sq ft. townhouse centrally located near Google HQ, Amazon, LinkedIn, Facebook, Microsoft, and Downtown Mountain View. It is 5 mins drive away from Caltrain and Downtown Mountain View. Plus, bus routes are all within a couple of blocks. Ugadi, Corazon Mexican Food, and Adamson’s French Dip are all close to home for great neighborhood dining. Safeway, Trader Joe’s, Walgreens, and the San Antonio Shopping Center are all within a 10-minute drive.
The neighborhood is pretty tranquil; there is an entrance to the Steven’s Creek Trail and a cute park within walking distance. The bedroom is spacious with a private large bathroom (tub/shower). You will have access to wifi, a furnished living room, a kitchen, a lovely patio, and a beautifully landscaped complex that includes a pool house and pool. The house has an outdoor security camera and outdoor automatic light switches. As the pictures show, the room––used previously as an office–– has been reverted to a bedroom and is freshly painted and updated, with fairly new carpet. There is an easy chair, lamp, and standing desk in the room currently. It also has a ceiling fan. The room is spacious with an equally roomy closet. You will have plenty of storage space! The laundry (washer and dryer purchased in 2021) is inside the unit; the pool house also has laundry facilities and there is free street parking. This is perfect for an intern or a student looking for a month-to-month rental (though I’d appreciate at least a 6-month commitment, if not a bit longer).
Utilities per person usually run about 36.00 for internet (ATT high-speed internet) and PG&E varies from between 50 and 100 dls a month per person, depending on usage.

I am a busy female professor who loves to read, watch movies, spend time with family and go for walks. Because of my profession, I travel often, work late and also spend time working from home, particularly during school breaks and summers. I consider myself a pretty easy-going, quiet person who takes pride in my home (I love to keep it clean and tidy) and sees it as an oasis. I would love to find a quiet housemate who is a student or working researcher but am open to living with different types of people.
