About the room
I am currently living in a 1-bedroom apartment that is about 750 sq. ft. It has a walk-out patio, and the unit has been recently renovated so everything is pretty much brand new. All the floors are hardwood except for the bathroom - they are made of marble-like tiles The only thing you would have to bring besides your personal items is your bed since I have everything else. You would be using the living room as a bedroom (right now it is completely empty - I would say itβs slightly larger than my bedroom). The property has laundry/dryer in-site, gated parking is available, and the property itself is also gated as well. It is approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk to UC Berkeley campus and a 10 minute walk to the downtown BART station.
About the roomies
I am in my early 20βs originally from DC who is working at a veterinary clinic. I will be back in school starting next spring, and I do have a 1.5 year old service dog. She is well-mannered and absolutely lovely, but she will need time to get to know you before getting 100% comfortable around you. That being said, she is absolutely NOT hostile - itβs just a part of her being a service dog that she is not instantly trusting. I am a very social person, but I rarely have people over at my place. I am not opposed to having social gatherings at my apartment, but it would have to be discussed first before inviting anyone over (if youβre bringing a friend or two, thatβs totally fine. Iβm talking about bringing back 10 people or something). I am definitely not a neat freak, but I do expect to keep our apartment tidy once you move in - no one wants to live in a dirty apartment! I expect respect, courtesy, and kindness from my roommates, and you can obviously expect the same from me. During my spare time, I love doing yoga, playing the piano, hanging out with friends & going to cute bars! I hope to hear from you soon (:
