Looking for a mature, responsible roommate to share my sizable, fully furnished apartment (your room, pictured, can be furnished or not) in a prime area of Montclair. I would like a trial period of three (3) months with an extension if both agree to six (6) or eight (8). The apartment has three bedrooms, dining room, eat-in kitchen, a large deck off the back, and free laundry in the basement (accessible from inside apart). It is located near Montclair Center, an approx. 8-10 min walk to the Walnut Street train station that goes directly into NYC (as well as to Montclair State, Newark, etc). The NJ transit and Decamp bus lines to the city and other places are VERY close as well (approx. 5 minute walk). No in-house smoking and I can’t allow pets because I already have two small dogs (pugs)-so hopefully you like dogs.

About me: I am a middle age, female college professor who teaches online. Thus, I am home often during the day, but do not mind if you are too. I’ve had great roommates that range in age from the 20s to mid 70s. So, age is of no consequence to me, as long as you are mature and stable. Academics (including grad. or mature undergrad students) welcome as well. Rent is $ 850.00 plus 1/2 utilities and $1275.00 deposit. The landlord requires verifiable references, and proof of income.
