Shared Apartment Home: Spacious two bedroom apartment in Fair Lakes has the master bedroom with a full private bath, walk-in closet and two large windows that allows for ample natural lighting available for rent as early as this week! Move-in date flexible. Our current housemates are moving on to bigger and better things so the new apartment mate(s) (YOU!) would be taking over the remainder of their lease. There is an option to renew the lease mid-March 2020. The kitchen has a dishwasher, large pantry, and a shared washer/dryer. The living room and dining room are fully furnished, but space can be made if needed. We also have a large patio space where we have two large storage closets. You will get your own storage closet with a key that safely locks it.

Bills: Rent is $933 a month and includes trash. Utilities are all paid separately. They include water, electric, and Cox internet. These bills are paid 50/50, and your monthly combined bills will average about $90-150 a month. This amount depends on usage. We are mindful of conserving energy in the home, i.e. using black out curtains, turning off lights and A/C before leaving, so we ask that the same practice be applied with any new housemates. Parking is free. If you want reserved covered parking it’s $50 a month. If interested in this apartment, please note that there is a $50 application fee per applicant, the leasing office will review background and credit plus a $250 deposit required at signing. The last detail of fees is Renters Insurance, all applicants must have renter’s insurance by the day of signing the leasing office will issue you your keys once they have proof of your insurance. We use Geico, which was a one time fee of $100

Location: The apartment is in walking distance and short driving distances from Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, Fairfax Town Center, Fairfax Corner, and Fair Lakes shopping center and a few other cool shops and restaurants. We are few short minutes away from 66, and a few other major roads. We live in a really safe neighborhood, no one will mess with your things, car, home. The apartment is a part of the Arbors of Fair Lakes community and the leasing office and maintenance staff are quite lovely. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone interested.

Our home: We have a pet friendly environment. Any new tenant must love cats, as we have two four-legged freeloaders living with us. The feline crew is sweet, clean and keep to their lazy selves. You’re welcome to bring in a new four-legged family member, we just ask for a meeting before move-in to see if our little one’s can get along. New apartment mates must be LGBTQ+ friendly because you will be sharing this home with a married lesbian couple. Note we are two young professionals currently pursuing our education at George Mason University, so we work a lot and are usually home later in the evenings. Nevertheless, when at home, we like to cook, and enjoy time with our housemates, friends, or family. When we have people over, it may be a game night, movie night or just dinner and drinks. We like to keep things fun and relaxed, and like to communicate any thoughts, questions, and concerns within the house. So please never hesitate to speak with us, we are true believers that transparency and open communication is key to every relationship.
