About the room

Gorgeous Furnished Room Available as soon as the 28th.

$1275.00 a month, includes: rent, utilities, fios, bi-weekly cleaning of common areas, all the household consumables (tp & paper products, soaps/cleaners, cooking basics, and trash/recycle bags), and an unending supply of cold brew and coffee fixings (seriously).

*If you want your room cleaned and bed sheets changed our cleaning lady charges 20.00 extra a time.

You:

Behave mostly as an adult. You take care of your stuff, you pay your bills, and are open to living in a semi-communal household. Must like the queers, cats, dogs and decent music.

The apartment:

3 bedroom walk-up in a building with 8 units. Our apartment is 1/2 of a building that is the depth of 1 1/2 brownstones. It is HUGE. You cannot understand someone who is talking from the halfway point in any direction.

The living room is beyond sunny and is appointed with a large sectional couch, original details from the late 1800’s, A/C unit, projector with a Bose for sound.

The board room does double duty as a laptop space and place to share a meal. Currently the bar area is in transition but will be back soon.

The kitchen has everything you need. C cooks- every spice, oil, vinegar, and tool needed to make a great meal is here. There is a 6ft butcher block counter, dishwasher, 2 fridges, plants, and a table and chairs.

This is a wonderful place for someone finishing up a doctorate or grad school. So far this apartment has successfully ushered 3 completed dissertations into the world!

The room: Is a proper sublet, it belongs to our most favorite roomie [H]. This can be short or long term. Either way we think after a few months everyone should check in and make sure its all working out.

120 sq ft and is FURNISHED with a mix of new and vintage things.

The bed is a queen size Tuft and Needle about 1 year old. It is appointed with a glut of down pillows and west elm sheets/duvet. It was immediately encased in a bed bug cover at its arrival. The room comes with everything you see in the pictures.

Laundry: Do what you will but we use a pick up/delivery service because its costs the same as drop off. 24 hours places around the corner if you do yourself.

Our neck of Clinton Hill:

Great bars/food around the corner on Fulton, good take out options on seamless. Dead center between C train at Washington and Franklin Ave, 2 minute walk to buses that run down Fulton, 7 minutes to trains. Just across the street from Prospect Heights and snuggled next to Bed Stuy/Ft. Greene. Take the S to prospect park (just down the block) or walk 20 min.

Close to Pratt and easy commute to city

About the roomies

About us:

We both eat meat but love our veggies! I am a PSFC member. Probably not the best place for someone who is militantly vegetarian/vegan or has a life threatening nut allergy. We have a shelf that is entirely jars of nuts in the kitchen.

C, fixes and makes things for a living and has a crazy schedule and a house upstate. Half the month she is gone on the weekends and usually gets home around 3am the rest of the days. She has a part-time GF (who is on the lease) that is starting a post-doc at Cornell. GF will be around the occasional weekend and will bring Mack- the cutest low rider dog ever.

A, is a wine God at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. She is fun and chill. She has a really cool cat that hides under things. Seeing the cat feels like a big-foot sighting.

We both keep restaurant hours, so if you work 9-5 you may never really see us.

As a house:

We share meals when we can, watch movies or bad TV on the projector, make coffee/cocktails for one another, drink/smoke on the roof, and manage to do all the regular house things seamlessly. No drama, no conversations about who unloaded the dishwasher more. The stray plate in the sink, just gets washed. We are adults who want to live in a home and not camp in an apartment.

As people we are more likely to throw a dinner party or brunch for (10) than an actual party.
