Congress Street

Hi, my name is Chris, I have a house in The Heights section of Jersey City, NJ. The house consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a studio basement/ground-floor. We have a living room, dining room, full kitchen, and sunroom on the main floor. The upstairs has two bedrooms, and the ground floor has the studio which I am seeking an occupant for. The house also has a backyard and a shed where we keep our bikes. Overall, the house is very comfortable, enough space for everyone.

I’ve been here for a year, the lease renews August 1st. I am looking for someone to rent the ground floor studio; this will be a one year sub-lease agreement at $1300 monthly, and one month security deposit, beginning August 1st of this year. The studio has a full bathroom, it’s own washing machine and dryer, front door entrance (leading to the front of the house), and has ample closet space. Near the stairs leading to the main floor where the kitchen and dining room are, there is plenty of space; a shoe shelf, two bicycles, and a coat rack are there currently.

We are 5 minutes from the Journal Square PATH and a few blocks from the Congress Light Rail where the elevator to Hoboken is also located. There are a few access points to NYC within 5 minutes from our house. The ease of transportation in Jersey City is great.

I myself, I am 28, and live in the house with my buddy John who I grew up with in Jersey (we occupy the two rooms upstairs). John works for a logistics company and bartends in Hoboken part-time. Myself, I own an auto body shop in Hackensack. We’re both busy with work during the week, but still find time to enjoy.

I’ve lived in Jersey City for almost 5 years and wouldn’t want to change a thing. Our current area is vibrant yet peaceful, there are plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance, two post offices and all of the major banks are local. Washington Park is visible from the house too. Just a great neighborhood feel.
